What’s Inside:

Warm Seasons Greetings from Three Sisters Sanctuary!

As our gardens go dormant and many species of wildlife hibernate, we embrace the “Cozy Season,” here in Western Massachusetts.  It’s time to enjoy the wondrous beauty of the great outdoors on frosty, but still bright days.

Three Sisters Sanctuary is open 365 days a year. The paths may be icy and require caution, but with packed or freshly fallen snow, come on out, throw on a pair of snowshoes and trek around! Incredible photographic opportunities are always abundant at the Sanctuary and wintertime is no exception!

We are signing off on our longer newsletter format for the season, but you can still expect to hear from us. And we would love to hear from you!  Please share your winter photos, recount your winter experience at the Sanctuary, and reflect on the quiet stillness of nature that comes before new energy is released in the spring.

Share the Experience of Three Sisters Sanctuary with a Gift Certificate!

We are so pleased to announce that gift certificates for admission to the Sanctuary are now available online! Share the wonderful experience of a visit to Three Sisters Sanctuary with your friends and family!

The gift passes are the perfect, one-size-fits-all gift that also fit in a holiday card or the stocking on the mantle. A way to say, “Thank you,” “Thinking of You,” “Happy Holidays,” and spread the joy and magic of this season and every season.

Admission is $10 for Adults. Children under 12 are FREE making it a great gift for families! Visit www.threesisterssanctuary.com to purchase online. Gift cards also help us sustain the Sanctuary throughout the long winter. Thank you so much for your support!

Need a Get-away?

Our AirBnB is an exceptional Winter Retreat! Refresh and renew in our beautiful, warm and sunny guest accommodations, meticulously cleaned to COVID-19 standards.

A magical landscape of gardens, sculpture, environmental art, magnificent standing stones, woods and ponds are at your doorstep. Experience the glittering night sky. Roast marshmallows and s’mores around the crackling fire pit. Relish the peacefulness of a rose-colored dawn.

Cross-country and downhill skiing are nearby, hiking and snowshoeing are at your backdoor. Visit the exciting Mass MoCA in North Adams and ignite your creativity! Finish reading that book, writing that essay, or completing that song. We welcome you to a unique and unforgettable overnight stay! https://threesisterssanctuary.com/stay-with-us/

Look to the Heavens!

On December 21st, there is much to celebrate as the shortest day of the year brings the promise of longer days moving forward. And on this Winter Solstice there is an astronomical event that has not been seen in 800 years!  Jupiter and Saturn will appear to merge in the southwest horizon of the night sky, forming a bright, exact conjunction at zero degrees Aquarius.
