It was our pleasure to help collect the stories within this book. These stories illuminate the life’s work of Richard M. Richardson, as told in his own words. Through them, we discover the history, meaning and creative process behind much of his work. We follow Richard as he moves to Goshen and transforms his home and property into what we now know as the Three Sisters Sanctuary. Over time, the work of other artists flourishes in the Land of Goshen, and Richard’s sanctuary evolves into a memorial garden where art and nature truly merge. You can visit the Three Sisters Sanctuary in Goshen, Massachusetts, any day, in any season, to experience the art, nature, and the spiritual connections created when they come together. We hope you enjoy this look at its architectural accomplishments, sculptural installations, and environmental artistry captured within these pages.
